Two Cleaning Methodologies For Professional Cleaners

cleaning methodology

Two ideas for a cleaning methodology:

#1 - Move from public to more Private Parts of the House

It is an advantage to clean the public parts of the house first. This means cleaning the first part of the house that usually has the greatest number of outside visitors. Then after that, work on the private part of the house according to the level of use like the kitchen, main bath, and laundry room. Then the children’s bedroom, the master bedroom and the master bath next. Then you can use the last part with the basement or the attic (if hired to do so). When you clean a room go from the corners to the middle and top to bottom.

Oh it feels so good to clean from the inside out!

#2 - Start with the hardest jobs first - The kitchen and the bath.

This way you have the most energy and focus on the most detailed parts of the house. some clients tend to critique the kitchen and bath the most. Then move to the dusting and vacuuming of the other rooms, detailing glass last.

Everyone ends up with a somewhat original approach to cleaning professionally. Some will prefer #1 and some will prefer #2 and some will just sort of feel their way through the job and do every house in a different order. The important thing is to think about it and come up with a system that works for you.

Happy cleaning!
