Here is a list of services that we use every day in running our online business.
Social Media Tools
Got something to say in 140 characters or less? Well, now you can even use more than 140 characters. Use this social notification network to publish updates to your followers or to keep track of the competition.
The worlds most popular social media website. What needs to be said? You are probably already spending way to much work time on on Facebook looking at Kitty videos.
Increase your brand authority and expand your reach with this image focused social media site. It provides yet another way to show up on search engines while at the same time allowing you to keep a visual record of your cleaning jobs.
Use your Linked-In profile to beef up your local business affiliations. It can be a powerful way to find affiliates to work with in your line of field.
Our favorite live chat web application. We have it redirect to our help desk for live integration. It can make follow ups with customers very fast if not in real time.
This is a great tool to make visuals, especially banner ads for your business website.
A stock images warehouse where you can find images to use in your marketing materials and website. An excellent alternative to the grumpy Istockphoto (Getty Images) whom seem to have a habit of harassing users. Fotolia is friendly, easy to understand and competitive.
We have been using Aweber for our newsletter automation services since 2007! It is the easiest and most flexible newsletter service I have used and I have tested many of them.
Zapier (task automation)
Interesting automation between apps like aweber and Paypal for example. Zapier moves info between your web apps automatically, so you can focus on your most important work. This is pretty geeky stuff and not something you would typically use with a cleaning service business but you can do some cool stuff with it, if you are geek inclined.
Groove (Help Desk)
Groove’s ticketing system has everything you need to turn support tickets into amazing customer experiences. If you are using email in place of a ticketing system then you really should make the move to Groove. It makes keeping track of your customers much easier. If your cleaning business is small, fewer than 50 clients then it probably is not necesarry but something to think about as you scale your business.
I use this software to create how-to videos for clients to teach them certain processes, I also use it in communications as well. This is handy when you work online. You could use it for creating marketing videos for your cleaning business.
Back up all of your business data with Backblaze data storage and backup service.
Store large files and share them with business partners.
Here is a list of directories we endorse. There are literally thousands of online directories. We have researched hundreds of them. Our online businesses are included in hundreds of them as well. Here are six that are worth your time:
The Open Directory Project (ODP) is the largest, most comprehensive human-edited directory of the Web. It is constructed and maintained by a vast, global community of volunteer editors.
If you are in the UK and need to find the best cleaning services then The Cleaning Directory UK is the place to be online. They have many cleaning tips and cleaning service resources as well.
