How to use texting with your cleaning business
Be competitive and stay on top! As the manager of your own cleaning business, frequently ask yourself, is it possible to be more efficient? How do you set up your systems and share or receive information quickly?
Efficiency is especially important when working with a partner or running a team. Scheduling over the phone can really disrupt your flow.
On busy days when you’re running from one job to the next, one way to save a lot of time is to use text messaging instead of phoning.
When you hire a helper, ask them, “Can I text you?” If they don’t know how, show them. I am a complete novice when it comes to texting. I had to be shown how, so keep in mind that even if you adopted it years ago, older people (anybody over 30), people with old computers, and others who just don’t text for whatever reason, will appreciate being taught how to text from their smart phone.
Texting may seem silly to some at first, but it can really save time and money during a busy work day. You can also use your smart phone for other business related activities like scheduling and on the job research. It is worth the investment to have a smart phone, especially if you are running crews with your cleaning service business. Your crew members only need to have a cell phone that can text which is pretty much all of them at this point.
